Social Wealth: Implementing a Caring Economy in Monterey County, developed by CEC team members Natalie Cox at the request of a Monterey County Board of Supervisors member who is also a graduate of the CELP Leadership and Learning online program, provides a model for other counties and local, state, and national governments to use Social Wealth Economic Indicators to move to a more caring and effective allocation of funds that brings about huge savings in “back end” costs such as crime and lost human potential.
