Join Riane Eisler’s Center for Partnership Studies and the Caring Economy Campaign as we launch a new initiative, the Social Wealth Economic Indicators (SWEIs). SWEIs bring together data urgently needed by policy makers and business on the economic impact of caring for people and planet. SWEIs show where the US stands against developed nations in investing in care for people, and building the human capital needed for economic competitiveness in a new age.
We’ll kick off the launch of this initiative with an online panel discussion, moderated by Carol Evans, president of Working Mother Media. Distinguished panelists include Ai-jen Poo, Director of the National Domestic Workers Alliance; Riane Eisler, author, attorney, and President of the Center for Partnership Studies; W. Steve Barnett, Director of the National Institute for Early Education Research; and Indradeep Ghosh, economist and SWEI Director, and a number of academic experts on the value of caring for and educating children. Panelists will explore how SWEIs compliment the work that they do, and their visions for implementation in the future.
Our launch partners include allied organizations from the Caring Economy Coalition representing 17 million people to date. They range from the National Partnership for Women and Families, the National Women’s Law Center, the National Domestic Workers Alliance, Gender Action, the National Organization for Women, MomsRising, andMom-mentum (formerly National Association of Mothers’ Centers) to Ethical Markets, Great Work Cultures, Promundo, the Social Venture Network, and the Institute for Women’s Leadership.
